Spyware Removal

Step 1: Click the START BUTTON (Lower left corner of computer screen). Click Programs >> Click Lava Soft Ad-Aware 6.0 SE Personnel >> Click Ad-Aware 6.0 SE Personnel

Click the

on the Desktop of your computer.

The program will open and the following dialog box will appear.

Step 3: Click the RADIO BUTTON "Perform Full System Scan"

Step 5: Once the machine has completed a scan you will see a dialog box (See Image below) and then Click Next

**Note:
Notice the number and text in red.

This is the number of spyware files that have been identified on the computer.

To completely eliminate the spyware you may need to run multiple scans till no items are found**

Step 6: Right Click on one of the squares next to the items (See Image below)
A Drop Down Menu will appear--Click the Select all Objects Option then Click Next

Step 7: A dialog box appears and ask if you want to delete the files. Click OK

Step 8: The files have been quarantined and now should be deleted from the computer. Click the Open quarantine list link (See image below)

Step 9: The dialog box below will open. Click on the auto-quarantine item listed in the Quarantined Objects. Click the Delete Button.

Step 10: A dialog box appears and ask if you want to delete the files. Click OK

Step 11: Click the Scan Now Button found on the left side of the dialog box.
Step 12: Repeat Steps 3 through 10 until no items in Red are found. (See Image in Step 5)
Step 13: The Dialog box below found no spyware files (No Red Items) but there are a # of Negligible Objects that need to be removed from the system. (See Yellow Caution Sign). Click Next.

Step 14: Right Click on one of the squares--A Dialog Box appears--Click Select all Objects--Click Next

Step 15: A dialog box appears and ask if you want to delete the files. Click OK

Following these steps should clear the spyware out of the computer. If you experience any problems or are not able to remove all spyware contact the Tech Department.
