Click here for information pertaining to this program!The health science field is one of the fastest growing areas of career opportunities today. In this 1050-hour course, students acquire the skills necessary to make them a vital part of a health care team, such as nurse assistant, lab assistant, home health care provider, dietary aide, pharmacy assistant or veterinary assistant.
Earnings & Advancements
On the top of the income scale are the doctors, dentists, veterinarians, etc. At the higher end of the pay scale are registered nurses with an average starting wage of over $13 per hour. Other health-related occupations in the Top 25 are dental assistants, licensed practical nurses, medical records technicians, and human services workers.
Oklahoma Employment & Outlook
Ranked by average annual growth rate and the number of average annual openings, the health service industry is the best bet. This means that the health service occupation has both the highest growth rate and the highest number of anticipated openings annually through the year 2006. Health Careers Occupations average $6.71-$14.78 depending on location and experience.
