How To Enroll


Bullet Admissions Requirements
Northeast Technology Center operates under the concept of open enrollment. All persons sixteen years of age or older are eligible for admission. Students may enroll anytime during the school year in any program that has an opening.
Bullet Previous Credit
Students entering NTC may be given credit for any previous training or education. The student must provide a transcript of training or education to NTC for evaluation. All credit given will be placed on the student's NTC transcript.
Bullet High School Students
To enroll, students simply complete an application and return it to their home school or the tech center as soon as possible. Registration for classes begins in late January for the following fall term.

Complete the Secondary Enrollment Application available in your counselor’s office. Have your parent or legal guardian fill out the top portion of the application on the reverse side and return to your principal or counselor for completion.

Students attending Northeast Technology Center can earn three elective credits per school year if course requirements are met at their high school. The credits earned at the technology center are issued by the sending school on the high school transcript.

Students may attend Northeast Technology Center in either the morning session, which runs from 8:30 A.M. to 11:30A.M., or the afternoon session, which runs from 12:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. The remainder of the day is spent at the home high school. Bus transportation is provided from the home high school to the tech center and back.

Students may also drive their personal vehicles.

Students who attend a high school located within the five-county technology district may attend daytime classes free of charge.
Bullet Adult Students
Complete the Post Secondary/Adult Enrollment Application. Return it, along with your high school transcript, to the Student Services Director at the campus you will be attending.

Post-secondary adult students must complete an application to be considered for admission. Adults living within the technology center district pay a tuition fee; adults living outside the district pay double the fee. In order to complete a1050-hour program, adult students may attend either three hours per day for two years of six hours per day for one year. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful completion of the program.

Bullet College Credit
Receive free college credit or at a reduced rate through the Cooperative Agreements that are in place between Northeast Technology Center and the following colleges: Coffeyville Community College, Connors State College, Crowder College, Missouri Southern State University, NEO A&M College, OSU-Okmulgee, Labette Community College (Practical Nursing only), Rogers State University, Northeastern State University (Advanced Standing Credit in the Bachelor of Technology program)

 **The number of hours granted and NTC programs approved for credit vary with each college.**

High School Students:
1.Sign a Declaration of Intent during Junior or Senior year at NTC;
2.Student must achieve a minimum grade average of “B” in all course work at NTC;
3.Complete all college residency criteria required to be admitted to college;
4.Request NTC transcript to be sent to college;
5.Upon completion of 12 credit hours as an adult student with a college, the Cooperative Agreement credit will be transcripted.

Adult Students:
Receive college credit while attending NTC by being co-enrolled with a participating college. It is the student’s option to complete the remaining courses with the college to receive a degree.
Bullet Financial Aid
Information

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can be obtained at any of Northeast Technology Center’s three campuses (Contact Us) or you can complete the application online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Bullet 13th Year Scholarship
Any graduating senior of a sending high school that has not completed a program at NTC may apply. Complete the application and submit if to your high school principal or counselor for completion. This application is not complete without a principal’s or counselor’s signature.
Bullet Northeast Technology Foundation Scholarship
Complete the Foundation Scholarship and return it with documentation requested to the campus you will be attending.
