Beginning Welding |
Introduction
and history of SMAW, Review the five essentials of welding,
electrode identification, shop safety, job practices including
striking and maintaining and arc, stringer beads, build a pad of
beads, welding fillet welds in all positions and v groove in all
position. |

2 |
Advanced Welding |
Students who have basic knowledge of
welding may enroll to further their skill level. Instruction
will be based on students ability and desire within the welding
field.

Residential Wiring |
This course
provides the foundations for the principles of electricity and
magnetism required for further study in electricity and
electronics. Instruction includes: Basics of electricity,
DC & AC circuits and analysis, magnetic circuits, use of
meters, and how motors and transformers work.

Gig Making |
Jesse Webb, renowned metal
fabricator and expert gig fisherman will teach students the
basics of gig making. Students will learn how to fabricate
their own gigs for fishing, which will include cutting,
shaping, and attaching the gigs. |

Small Engine Repair |
Homeowners and lawn
service personnel save money! Learn the skills to work on lawn and
garden equipment yourself. This basic class covers all areas of safety,
tools, engine theory, electrical theory, fasteners, specialty tools and
testing equipment. |

Basic Knife Making |
Knife
manufacture offers the metal worker the opportunity to use or
hone their skills and produce a unique piece that may be used in
the workshop or become a prized heirloom. The class offers the
student a selection of desired materials and mounting procedures
for the handles. Students will also be given individual
instruction in knife making techniques as well as the proper use
of grinding and polishing machines. Other areas of instruction
include: Safety and operation of machines, metal types and
properties, clean and strip metals, shape and form metals, use
of metal polisher, selection of materials for handle, treating,
carving and polishing handle materials, drill and mount handle,
final polish and sharpening procedure. |

Pocket Knife Making |
Students will apply the same skills
as knife making, but will be using a project kit that includes a
folding blade. |

Microsoft PowerPoint |
Students will
learn the menus and toolbars in the PowerPoint application
window, create text slides, use the drawing toolbar, create a
PowerPoint table, use the Microsoft clip organizer, design
templates, create speaker notes and produce a slide show. This
class is a very versatile tool that can be used in a variety of
settings from corporate presentations, weddings, funerals, class
graduations and many more events. |

Students will
learn the basics of operating the MS Excel program. |

Student will

QuickBooks |
Learn to
use the simplest form of accounting for small business
owners. The basic accounting principles will be introduced
to the students Included in instruction will be how to set
up data quickly with lists, preparing inventory lists,
invoicing, enter and pay bills, track time and job cost
accurately, work with bank accounts, create reports, graphs,
track and pay sales tax and complete payroll. Students will
also learn to track the most profitable customers and
activities. |

Become

everyone looking for appropriate letter writing skills, this is
the first step to understanding most MS Office applications. |

In this class we will cover
the aspects of creating a VCD or DVD Slideshow complete with
music from the beginning using your photos / Music /
Notebook for Notes / CD or DVD. |

In this class students will
cover the basic computer operation. This will include how
to use the computer to set up e-mail accounts, how to use
the software on your computer, how to browse the internet
and how to identify warnings and updates. |

electronic mail, participating in newsgroups, transferring files
from the internet, covering security on the internet, working
offline and a final case study.

Basic Real Estate |
This course provides 90 hours instruction
to prepare the applicant for examination and licensure as a
provisional sales associate. This
course will prepare participants for the Real Estate Sales Associates
Licensing Exam, which is given by the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission.
The course provides a basic foundation in real estate and is recommended
for anyone associated with the real estate industry. Upon course
completion, the student may sit for the State exam. Upon passing
the exam, you will be issued a provisional sales associate license,
which will be valid for three years. For the license to be
renewed, an additional 45 hour approved real estate course (post course)
must be completed. When these requirements are met, a full sales
associates license will be issued. |
