Beginning Welding |
Students
will be taught the proper methods including a safety course to
begin to weld |

Advanced
Welding |
Students who have basic knowledge of
welding may enroll to further their skill level. Instruction
will be based on student’s ability and desire within the welding

Basic Knife Making |
Instruction
will include safety and operation of grinders, buffers, and
other tools, metal types and properties, shape and forming
metals, treating, carving and polishing handles.

Pocket Knife Making |
Students will apply the same skills
as knife making, but will be using a project kit that includes a
folding blade. |

5 |
Small Engine Repair |
Class Schedule will include
review of Engine Construction, fuel system components,
Carburetor theory and construction, fuel system and
carburetor trouble shooting, review of fuel system, ignition
system, point system, electronic system, review of ignition
system and ignition system maintenance and trouble shooting,
basic electrical Theory, electrical system maintenance and
trouble shooting, starting system, charging system, review
and types of lubrication systems and purpose of lubrication
systems, oil specifications, 20
hours shop time.
Students
will learn how to maintain, diagnose and repair mowers, weed eaters,
chainsaws etc. |

Residential Wiring |
Instruction
will include safety practices, simple and complex circuitry in
residential construction. |

Microsoft PowerPoint |
Students will
learn the menus and toolbars in the PowerPoint application
window, create text slides, use the drawing toolbar, create a
PowerPoint table, use the Microsoft clip organizer, design
templates, create speaker notes and produce a slide show. This
class is a very versatile tool that can be used in a variety of
settings from corporate presentations, weddings, funerals, class
graduations and many more events. |

Microsoft PowerPoint Intermediate |
This is a continuation of
beginning MS PowerPoint. New students may enroll if they have a
basic knowledge of the program and feel ready to advance their
skills. The class is designed to enhance learned skills to
enable students to make even more creative and impressive
presentations. |

Microsoft Access |
Students will learn the basics of
operating the Micro Soft Access program including; database and
table creation, form making, records storing, query and report
making and repair and modification of reports, database and
tables. |

10 |
Microsoft Access Intermediate |
This is a continuation of
beginning MS Access. New Students may enroll if they have a
basic working knowledge of the program and feel ready to advance
their skills. The class will cover intermediate Query, Report,
Data Access, techniques. Additional features covered are adding
a lookup field to a table, defining an input mask for a field,
viewing object dependencies, Exporting an Access Datasheet to MS
Office Excel and using the Database Wizard. |

Students will
learn the basics of operating the MS Excel program. |

This is
continuation of skill building from the beginning class. New
students may enroll if they have a basic knowledge of the
program and feel ready to advance their skills. This class
will enable students to advance their productivity in operating
the MS Excel program and give them operational practice in
creating and modifying worksheets. |

Students will also be exposed to
Microsoft Word; creating,
editing, formatting a document, working with multiple sections,
using Word’s writing & drawing tools. |

Word Intermediate |
This is a
continuation of skill building from the beginning class. New
students may enroll if they have a basic knowledge of the
program and feel ready to advance their skills. The class will
give students the knowledge and practice to do intermediate
editing, formatting, set up a table, set up multiple-column
documents, create charts and diagrams, teach styles produce a
report and collaborate with other word users. The final chapter
covers additional intermediate word features such as inserting a
picture, drawing, hyperlink, or splitting or opening a new
document window. |

QuickBooks |
Learn to
use the simplest form of accounting for small business
owners. The basic accounting principles will be introduced
to the students Included in instruction will be how to set
up data quickly with lists, preparing inventory lists,
invoicing, enter and pay bills, track time and job cost
accurately, work with bank accounts, create reports, graphs,
track and pay sales tax and complete payroll. Students will
also learn to track the most profitable customers and
activities. |

Repair |
Instruction
includes trouble shooting, maintenance and repair of computer
system and equipment. |

A+ Certification |
Students will
work toward the knowledge needed to test and become A+
Certified. Skills taught will include hands on trouble
shooting, repair/replacement of computer components and on-line
curriculum based on the direction of the instructor. Testing
information is included and students may continue taking the
class until they feel ready to test. The testing fee is
separate and information regarding the test will be a part of
the curriculum. |

your toes to tapping. If you have some skill or the desire to
develop a skill in the musical world of bluegrass than this
class is for you. From 10 to 25 students playing different
bluegrass instruments may enroll to hone their skills and learn
from local musician Clayton Moore. This class is part learning
lab and part jam session, but mostly it’s good music and fun.
Some students are regulars and some are new to the class and the
blend has always been interesting. During the year some
students are selected to participate in the NTC Bluegrass Band
and have played for local charity functions, at church and done
a few festivals. |

technically correct. Class has classroom and working cell groups and
one on one with teacher. |
